Accounts Assistant – Practice

Our client is a fast growing chartered certified accountancy practice in East London. They are seeking an energetic fast learner individual that is willing to take on multi task responsibilities ranging from book keeping and accounts preparation, personal and corporate tax computations, client facing responsibilities and dealing with HMRC , Companies house and Charity Commission.

This role will suit an individual with previous practice experience and is very conversant with accounting principles and taxation concepts.

They are seeking an ACCA affiliate, Part Qualified ACCA or fully qualified AAT to join our professional but friendly practice in London.

The Accounts Assistant Responsibilities

You will be working within a team of accountants and tax professionals providing first class customer service to a growing portfolio of clients. The duties & responsibilities you will undertake are:

  • Day to day servicing of a portfolio of SME businesses and their owners
  • Managing practice wide databases
  • Accounts Preparation
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Business Tax computations
  • Vat Returns and MTD
  • Payroll and bookkeeping when required
  • Providing assistance to clients with cloud accounting
  • Other ad-hoc projects and support for the Manager

  • Good technical knowledge
  • Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

The following will added advantage

  • Working knowledge of any accounting software
  • Working knowledge of the major bookkeeping packages including Sage 50, Sage One, Xero & Quick books will
  • Proximity to East London

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: £15,000.00 to £20,000.00 /year
