Finance & Accounts Assistant

Reports To:Financial Controller

Job Purpose:ITC Secure is a provider of cyber threat advisory and managed security services that help organisations identify, understand and control their security risks. We are currently looking for a part time Finance & Accounts Assistant to support the finance team of 3. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance & Accounts Assistant, who can display ownership within their role and adaptability.

This role is being offered initially as 3 month fixed term contract working between 15-20 hours per week, ideally 3.5-4 hours each morning, with the flexibility to work either from home or at our Canary Wharf office. On completion of the initial fixed term the position will be reviewed, with the possibility of either an extension of the initial term or permanent employment.

Key Interfaces:Finance Team,Budget Holders, Sales, Suppliers, Customers, Banks & Vendor Manager

The role will involve:

Maintaining an accurate Accounts Payable Ledger:

  • Setting up and maintaining vendor accounts on the ERP system, Acumatica
  • Processing vendor invoices
  • Ensuring prompt payments of expense claims, supplier and consultant invoices
  • Liaising with budget holders to obtain invoice authorisation
  • Managing corporate credit card reporting by sending out statements, collecting and posting receipts
  • Payment processing using NatWest Bankline App and weekly BACS payment schedules
  • Dispatching remittance advices
  • Weekly preparations of the aged creditors’ listing and assistance with resolving non-current balances
  • Daily management of the Accounts email inbox and physical Finance mail in the office

Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable Ledger:

  • Assist in raising invoices
  • Sending out customer statements, liaising with the customer & Sales team to chase over-due balances

Assisting with Treasury reporting:

  • Daily posting & of cash receipts and payments to Acumatica
  • Prepare daily cash summary
  • Preparing and submitting weekly invoice listing to the bank (Investec)

Assisting with ad-hoc project work:

  • Assistance with audit requests
  • Assistance with report building
  • Automation of recurring tasks in Acumatica (e.g. remittance advices & statements etc)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is experienced within an accounting function including data entry, sales & purchase ledger (essential)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Well organised and self-starting
  • Experienced in the of use of ERP & online banking systems (Acumatica & NatWest Bankline are desirable)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
  • A positive can-do attitude & confidence to liaise with colleagues, customers and vendors on behalf of Finance and ITC Secure

Working hours:Normal working hours are 3.5/4 hours per day Monday – Friday, from our Canary Wharf office with the flexibility of remote working.

Salary:£28,000 – £30,000 (pro rata) or £14.00 – £16.00 per hour
